Due
to
the
fact
that
arc
interruption
is
accomplished

within

vacuum
bottles

chutes

blowout
coils
and
pole
plates
are
not
required
with
vacuum
contactors
.
Stationary
and
movable
power
contacts
are
lo
-
cated
inside
the
vacuum
bottles
with
corrugated
stainless
steel
bellows
attached
to
the
movable
contacts
to
ensure
a
complete
seal
and
integrity
of
the
vacuum
bottle
.
Voltage
surge
suppressors
are
sometimes
furnished
at
the
controller
load
terminals
to
limit
transient
overvoltages
caused
by
multiple
reignitions
which
may
occur
due
to
the
use
of
vacuum
interrupters
.

in

81000
medium
voltage
controllers
.
Type
90
H
3
contactors
provide
the
advantage
of
long
mechanical
and
electrical
life
with
low
maintenance
and
are
essentially
im
-
mune
to
adverse
atmospheric
environments
.
They
are
suitable
for
loads
of
all
types
,
including
three
-
phase
motors
,
transformers
,
capacitors
and
resistive
loads
.
The
overall
dimensions
of
the
vacuum
contactor
are
18
inches
(
457
mm
)
wide
by
27.5
inches
(
699
mm
)
high
by
23.87
inches
(
606
mm
)
deep
.
The
vacuum
contactor
with
single
or
double
barrel
power
fuses
can
be
installed
in
Series
81000
Class
E
2
controllers
of
either
one
-
,
two
-
or
three
-
high
construction
.
The
Type
90
H
3
vacuum
contactor
consists
of

section

contains

drive
