What to do if water flows through the holes on the soleplate of Siemens Iron?
    • D
      David CollierAug 23, 2025
If your Siemens Iron is leaking water through the holes on the soleplate, it could be because the steam function is being used before the iron has reached the correct temperature, or because water has condensed inside the pipes due to infrequent use. To resolve this, reduce the steam flow when ironing at low temperatures. If that doesn't work, point the iron away from the ironing area and press the steam release button until steam is consistently produced.

Why is dirt coming out of my Siemens slider SL45 Iron?
    • H
      harmstrongAug 27, 2025
If dirt is coming out through the soleplate of your Siemens Iron, it could be due to a buildup of scale or minerals in the steam tank, or because chemical products or additives have been used. To fix this, use tap water mixed 50% with distilled or demineralized water. To prolong the optimum steam function, mix tap water with distilled water 1:1. If the tap water in your district is very hard, mix tap water with distilled water 1:2. Clean the soleplate with a damp cloth and never add products to the water.

Why does my Siemens slider SL45 smoke when I turn it on?
    • J
      john00Aug 28, 2025
If your Siemens Iron begins to smoke when switched on, it is likely due to certain components being lightly greased at the factory during first use, or the soleplate may be soiled during subsequent use. This is completely normal and will stop after a short while. If it continues, clean the soleplate.
