18. Do not heat up food in hermetically
closed containers before opening
them: they can explode! This warning
must also be observed for other types
of cooking surfaces.
19. Do not place metal utensils on the
hob, they could heat up and cause
serious burns.
20. To prevent improper use by children
or others and to protect against
accidental start-up of the hob during
cleaning the appliance has a safety
device (please see the chapter on
how the hob works).
21. During cooking the glass surface
remains cold, preventing burns;
moreover the cooking area cannot
be accidentally activated unless
suitable pans are placed on the area.
22. The appliance is not intended to be
operated by means of an external
timer or separate remote-control
system.
