The special shape of the lid frame
allows the steam to escape gently
and evenly when steaming.
Thermometer
The thermometer enables you to
monitor the ideal cooking temper-
ature, so vitamins are retained and
meat and fish stay juicy and tender.
The exact cooking temperature is
very important, especially when
steaming and cooking at low tem-
peratures. The thermometer allows
you to monitor this constantly
Insert
The many different ways the insert
can be used allow several dishes to
be cooked at the same time. If the
cooking times are different, add
them one after the other.
Never touch the insert without
using oven gloves, pan holders, etc.
as all its surfaces get hot.

Roasting /braising
As a roasting pan, the ecompact
round is excellent for roasting and
braising meat.
Ideal for quick, crispy searing at
high temperatures, perfect for even
browning at medium temperatures.
When braising (searing in the open
pan then adding liquid and contin-
uing to cook with it closed), some of
the flavours combine with the juices
to form a delicious sauce.
The pan can be used both on the hob
and in the oven. The thermometer
and glass lid are heat-resistant in the
ecompact round
