surface such as an induction or glass
ceramic hob, rather than dragging it.
The ecompact round is ideal for
using in the oven. Use pan holders
or similar, as the cookware gets hot
in the oven.
Avoid banging hard, sharp-edged
kitchen utensils on the edge of the
pan as this can damage it.
We recommend using hot water
to remove sprayed fat/oil or to
reduce the amount of hot steam
that escapes.
The individual parts of the ecom-
pact round: Silargan® roasting pan
The lower part of the ecompact
round can be used as a normal
roasting pan, and to sear or braise
or for baking gratins. The dark
surface and extra thick steel core
ensure excellent results when
cooking and roasting.
The pan can be used both on the
hob and in the oven at up to 250 °C.
If your pan does not sit completely
at on the hob, this is not a cause
for complaint. The tolerances for
the pan and the hob are deter-
mined by the manufacturing pro-
cess and have no negative impact
on results when cooking.
Glass lid
The glass lid can withstand temper-
atures up to 180 °C. Please do not
put the hot lid into cold water or on
a cold surface.
Ideal for use in a fan oven but not
when heat comes from above or
under a grill, as this can result in
much higher surface temperatures.
When opening the hot lid we re-
commend using pan holders and
opening it as if it were hinged (see
Fig. ).
