Product Familiarisation
Intended Use
Airmicrogrinderkitpoweredbyanaircompressor,usedforprecisiongrinding,sanding,honing,
polishingormachiningmaterial(metal,plastic,woodetc).Utilisesmountedgrindingstones,rotary
rasps, surface conditioning pads and other sanding and grinding tools.
Not intended for commercial use.
The tool must ONLY be used for its intended purpose. Any use other than those mentioned in this
manualwillbeconsideredacaseofmisuse.Theoperator,andnotthemanufacturer,shallbeliable
for any damage or injury resulting from such cases of misuse. The manufacturer shall not be liable
foranymodicationsmadetothetool,norforanydamageresultingfromsuchmodications.
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefullyunpackandinspectyourtool.Fullyfamiliariseyourselfwithallfeaturesand
functions of it
• Ensure all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or
damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool
Before Use
WARNING: Alwaysdisconnectthetoolfromtheairsupplybeforeadjustmentormaintenance
is carried out.
Recommended air supply
• Thistoolshouldbeconnectedtoaclean,dryairsupplywithinlineoilerandwaterseparator
• Donotallowsupplypressuretoexceedthemaximumstated(see'Specication')
• Ensurethatwaterisdrainedfromairsystemdaily
• Ensure that all parts of the system (hoses, couplers, etc.) are correctly rated for the air pressure
to be used
Connecting the inline oiler & quick connector
Note:Thistoolissuppliedwithtwodifferentmaleairlinequickconnectors(Fig.II):
EQ-4 – commonly used in Europe
EN-6 – mainly used in the UK
Iftheairsupplydoesnothaveaninlineoiler,connectthesuppliedInlineOiler(5)betweenthe
AirHose(6)andQuickConnector(4):
1. ApplysomePTFEtape(notincluded)tothescrewthreadsoftheQuickConnectorandInlineOiler.
Thiswillhelptomaintainanairtightseal
Note: ApplyPTFEtapetightlyandinaclockwisedirection,soitdoesnotcomeoffwhenthethread
isscrewedintothetool.
2. Connect the air inlet of the Air Hose to the female threaded connection on the Inline Oiler, and
the Quick Connector to the male threaded end of the Inline Oiler
3. OntheInlineOiler,unscrewthescrewxingtoaccesstheoilreservoir.Fillthereservoirwith
air tool oil
IMPORTANT: DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE NORMAL ENGINE OIL.
4. Retscrewtore-sealthereservoir
• If the Inline Oiler is not required, connect the Quick Connector directly to the Air Hose air inlet.
WARNING:Donotattachthetooltoahoseandthehosetoacompressorwithonlythreaded
connections.Alwaysusequickconnectorssothetoolcanberemovedfromtheairsupply
connectionwhenneededforsafeoperation.
WARNING:Nevertafemalequickconnectordirectlytotheleaderhose/whiphoseordirectly
tothetool.Thestoredpressurisedairinthetool,evenwhendetachedfromthemainairsupply,
can operate the tool unexpectedly.
Fitting an accessory
WARNING:Alwaysdisconnectthetoolfromtheairsupplybeforeinstalling/removing
accessories.
1. InserttheshankoftheaccessoryasfarintotheCollet(2)asitwillgo
2. TightentheColletbyhand,thentthetwosuppliedColletSpanners(3):oneontheCollet,the
other on the drive shaft (Image A)
3. TightentheColletsothattheaccessoryissecurelyxedinplace.Pullontheendoftheaccessory
to check
4. Toremovethegrindingstone:loosentheColletusingtheColletSpannersandwithdrawthe
accessory
Operation
1. Connect tool to air supply and turn ON air supply
2. Holdthebodyofthemachinewithonehand,ensuringthegrinderheadisnotincontactwith
any object (Image B)
3. Withtheotherhand,rotatebarrelswitchatthebaseoftheGrinder(1)clockwisetotheON
position to start the grinder
Note: Thebarrelswitchcanbeusedtoregulatetheairowandthereforethespeedofthetool,
dependingonthepositionoftheswitchbetweentheOFFandONposition
4. Rotatebarrelswitchcounter-clockwisetotheOFFpositiontoturnOFFthegrinder
IMPORTANT:Neverrunthegrinderwithoutoilintheinlineoiler.

Maintenance
WARNING:Alwaysdisconnectfromtheairsupplyanddepressurisebeforecleaningorcarrying
out any maintenance.
General inspection
• Regularlycheckthatallthexingscrewsaretight.Theymayvibratelooseovertime.
Cleaning
• Keepyourtoolcleanatalltimes.Dirtanddustwillcauseinternalpartstowearquickly,and
shortenthetool’sservicelife.Cleanthebodyofthetoolwithasoftbrushordrycloth
IMPORTANT:Thereisverylittlethatcangowrongwithyourairtool,anditshouldbenotedthat
whenanairtoolfailstoworkitisgenerallybecausetheinternalworkingshavecorrodeddueto
dirty,wetairandfailuretofollowtheinstructionsgivenbelow.
Daily maintenance procedure:
Ifaninlinelubricatorisnottted,thefollowingmaintenanceproceduremustbeperformeddaily:
1. Disconnect from the air supply
2. Pour 3-4 drops of oil into the air intake
3. Operatethemachineatlowspeedtothoroughlylubricateallinternalworkings
• If the machine is in constant use or used for long periods at a time, repeat the above procedure
up to 3 times per day
• Use air tool oil. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE NORMAL ENGINE OIL
• Failuretocomplywiththeoperatingandmaintenanceinstructionsmayinvalidatetheguarantee
Storage
• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children
