Overview

The Simple Living Products 32L Convection Air Fryer Oven (model SL-C32L) is a versatile kitchen appliance designed for household use, offering multiple cooking functions including air frying, roasting, baking, broiling, toasting, and reheating. This appliance combines the capabilities of a convection oven and an air fryer, making it suitable for a wide range of culinary tasks.

Function Description:

The oven features a fan/air fryer function, a rotisserie function, and a combined fan and rotisserie function, allowing for diverse cooking methods. It is capable of evenly toasting bread, crisping bagels, melting and browning cheese on pizzas, baking cookies, muffins, brownies, and pastries, roasting various meats and poultry, broiling open sandwiches, small cuts of meat, and vegetables, and reheating leftovers without browning. The convection feature ensures even cooking and browning by circulating hot air.

Usage Features:

The oven is equipped with user-friendly controls, including two temperature dials (one for up/top heating and one for down/bottom heating) and a timer dial. Users can select specific functions and adjust temperature and time accordingly. The appliance has an automatic "shut off" device that activates when the timer reaches zero, though the fan continues to run for a "cool down" period.

Rack height positions are crucial for optimal cooking results and are indicated on the oven door for various functions:

  • Top rack position: Broil.
  • Middle rack position: Toast, Pizza, Air Fryer, Bagel, & Cookie.
  • Bottom rack position: Bake, Roast and Reheat. When inserting the wire rack, the spokes should face upwards, and food should be centered to maximize airflow. When using metal foil, the wire rack should be in the middle or bottom position to prevent contact with heating elements.

Specific function guidelines:

  • Bagel Function: Top Temperature 375°F, Bottom Temperature Off, Time 4 Minutes, Rack Position Middle. Bagels should face upwards towards the top heating elements.
  • Toast Function: Top Temperature 200°F, Bottom Temperature 200°F, Time 2.5 Minutes, Rack Position Middle.
  • Pizza Function: Top Temperature 275°F, Bottom Temperature 150°F, Time 15 Minutes, Rack Position Middle. For frozen pizzas, remove packaging. For a crispier crust, pizzas can be cooked directly on the wire rack, with the baking tray on the bottom shelf to catch falling ingredients.
  • Cookie Function: Top Temperature 50°F, Bottom Temperature 150°F, Time 11 Minutes, Rack Position Middle. Lightly grease or line the baking tray to prevent sticking.
  • Bake Function: Top Temperature 200°F, Bottom Temperature 150°F, Time 30 Minutes, Rack Position Bottom.
  • Broil Function: Top Temperature 300°F, Bottom Temperature 150°F, Time varies by recipe, Rack Position Top. Two broiling temperature settings ("HI" and "LOW") are available, with 300°F being the "HI" setting.
  • Reheat Function: Top Temperature 150°F, Bottom Temperature 150°F, Time 15 Minutes, Rack Position Bottom.
  • Air Fryer Function: Select Fan function, Rack Position Middle. Use same top and bottom heating temperature, adjusting as needed for food.
  • Roast / Rotisserie Function: Rotisserie Mode or Fan & Rotisserie Function. Top Temperature 200°F, Bottom Temperature 150°F, Time 60 Minutes, Rack Position Bottom. The rotisserie rod is inserted through the food, secured with prongs, and then placed into the drive socket on the right side and supported on the left side of the internal wall.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any parts of the oven in water. Do not use metal utensils or abrasive cleaning materials. The outer body should be wiped with a soft, damp cloth. The inside walls can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and warm water. The rotisserie, trays, and crumb tray should be cleaned with warm soapy water and a soft sponge; while dishwasher safe, hand washing is recommended to extend their life. The glass door should be cleaned with glass cleaner or mild detergent only after the unit has fully cooled to prevent shattering. Extreme caution is advised when cleaning heating elements; gently rub with a soft, damp sponge or cloth after the oven has cooled. All surfaces must be thoroughly dry before plugging in and turning on the oven.
