Cleaning The Exterior Surface
Exterior surfaces may be cleaned with a mild solution of
dish washing detergent and water. Under no circumstances,
should this dehumidifier be immersed directly in a cleaning
solution. Before washing, unplug the dehumidifier, use a moist-
ened sponge or soft cloth to clean the surface, then gently
wipe dry. Gently clean the LCD screen with a damp lint free
cloth.

Water Bucket (Reservoir)
For your convenience, we have located the water bucket at
the front of the dehumidifier. It is equipped with an integrated
lid which has been designed to prevents spills when removing
and emptying the bucket. When the bucket is full, the dehu-
midifier shuts off, the full bucket symbol on the LCD will flash
and the audible alarm will sound if the option is enabled.
To remove the reservoir, use the front finger pull located at
bottom of the reservoir and slide it forward. Once in the for-
ward position, use the integrated side mount handles to lift
the reservoir for emptying. When emptied, return the bucket
to the operating position in the dehumidifier.
When the bucket is removed the fan will operate for four (4)
minutes to allow time for emptying after which the unit will
resume normal operation.
Water Collection
The water can be collected in the front mounted water
reservoir or can be routed to a floor drain via a garden hose
connection at the base of the water reservoir. It can also be
placed directly over a floor drain. Before connecting a
garden hose (not supplied) or positioning the unit directly over
a floor drain, it is necessary to remove the plastic blocking
disc at the base of the threaded connector. This can be done
with a drill and 5/8” bit.
mild solution of household detergent. Rinse, and thoroughly
blot dry. Inspect the filter for holes and replace if necessary.
Place the clean filter into the frame and insert the filter and
frame into the dehumidifier.

· Unit is unplugged or not turned on. Ensure the unit is
properly plugged into a grounded receptacle. Press
the ‘power on’ button.
· Fuse has blown or breaker is tripped. (check outlet
with a lamp) Replace fuse or reset breaker.
· Check the humidity control setting. The selected
humidity level has been achieved or the unit is operating
in fan only mode. Adjust humidity level to a lower
setting, if desired
· Water reservoir is full. Empty reservoir and resume
operation.
· Air temperature and/or relative humidity may be too
low to allow the extraction of moisture from the air.
Raising the room temperature will help, or place the
dehumidifier in a warmer location. (ie: from basement
to main floor)
· Air flow may be restricted. Is the unit located in an
appropriate location to allow the maximum amount
of air flow through the coils? If the unit is sitting too
close to the wall, air flow may be restricted. Also
check for a plugged filter.
· The selected humidity level has been achieved.

Air Filter
A washable air filter has been conveniently placed at the front
of the dehumidifier for easy access. This filter must be
checked on a regular basis to make sure it is clean. A
dirt-choked filter will block the air flow and reduce the
efficiency of the dehumidifier. To access the filter, remove the
water reservoir and pull the filter down and out by the
pull-tab located at the bottom of the filter. Remove the
filter material from the plastic frame and gently wash in a

Fan And Fan Motor
The fan motor used on your dehumidifier is pre-lubricated.
Under ordinary circumstances, the fan will not require
servicing or oiling during the life of the dehumidifier.
BEFORE SEEKING SERVICE
Before you take your dehumidifier in for servicing, please check
the following:
1. Unit is not working:
3. Temperature or Humidity readout appears inaccurate
· Temperature and humidity can vary greatly between the
floor and ceiling. Comparisons between the unit’s high
quality sensor display and other measurement instru-
ments should be carried out at the same height away
from the unit’s exhaust airflow.
· The measuring instrument you are using is inaccurate.
Handheld devices (ie: Hygrometers) have been found to
be inacurrate by as much as 20 RH% of true humidity
level.
