Loosen the screw (B,
Fig. 24, near the upper end
of the face plate, raise the
plate and slip it off over the
head of the screw. Apply
a drop of oil at each of
the places indicated by the
unlettered arrows in Fig. 24,
then replace the face plate
and fasten it as before.

To reach the parts underneath the bed of the
machine, turn the machine back on its hinges and
apply oil to the oil holes and bearings indicated
by the arrows in Fig. 25.
