To Clean the Stitch Forming Mechanism
After considerable use, the stitch forming mechan-
ism in the bed of the machine may become clogged
with lint and this may interfere with the perfect
operation of the machine.
Occasionally remove the shuttle, as instructed
below, and remove the lint, etc., which has accumu-
lated in the machine.
To Remove the Shuttle
Draw to the left the slide in the bed of the ma-
chine. Turn the balance wheel over toward you

until the needle is at its highest position and the
point of the shuttle is at the position shown in Fig. 27.
