TO
REGULATE
DIRECTION
OF
FEED
\Vhen
you
desire
to
feed
the
material
from
the
front
to
the
rear
of
the
machine,
place
the
stitch
length
regulator
lever,

“Up”
position.
When
the
feed
of
the
material
is
desired
in
the
opposite
direction,
or
from
the
rear
of
the
machine
towards
you,
lower
the
stitch
regulator
lever,

This
allows
reversal
of
the
direction
of
feed
without
removing
the
material
from
the
machine,
permitting
easy
back-tacking,
for
fastening
the
ends
of
seams,
etc.
It
is
not
necessary
to
reduce
pressure
on
the
electric
controller
when
changing
the
direction
of
the
feed.
The
machine
can
be
adjusted
to
produce
from
six
to
thirty
stitches
per
inch.
If
you
desire
the
shortest
stitch
(30
stitches
per
inch)
place
the
stitch
regulator
lever
at
No.
1
on
the
scale
of
the
stitch
indicator
plate,

A
normal
stitch
is
produced
when
the
stitch
regulator
lever

a

regulator
lock
to
permit
you
to
reverse
the
direction
of
feed
and
obtain
the
identical
length
of
stitch
when
sewing
in
either

tion.

the
feed
will
be
lowered
from
the
throat
plate
and
will
not
feed
the
material.
Do
this
for
the
purpose
of
embroidering.
To
corpience
normal
sewing
again,
make
sure
drop
feed
knob
is
turned
to
“UP”
