Overview

This document describes the SINGER SWK-900INOX Kettle, a household appliance designed for boiling water. The manual provides detailed instructions for safe operation, usage, and maintenance in English, Greek, and Bulgarian.

Function Description:

The SINGER SWK-900INOX is an electric kettle used to heat water. It features a power base that allows for 360-degree rotation, making it convenient for placement and connection to a power outlet. The kettle is equipped with an on/off switch and an indicator light to show when it is in operation. It automatically switches off once the water has boiled. For safety, it includes boil-dry protection, which automatically cuts off power if the kettle is accidentally operated without water. The lid opens via a release button for easy filling and cleaning, and the water level can be monitored through a water gauge.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: SWK-900INOX
  • Type: Kettle
  • Maximum Capacity: 1.7 liters
  • Power Base: 360-degree rotational
  • Safety Features: Boil-dry protection, automatic shut-off
  • Plug Type: Grounded plug

Usage Features:

  1. Before First Use: It is recommended to clean the kettle by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.
  2. Filling the Kettle:
    • Remove the kettle from its power base.
    • Open the lid by pressing the Lid Release button.
    • Fill with the desired amount of water. The water level should be between the MIN and MAX marks. Overfilling can cause boiling water to eject from the spout, while underfilling may cause the kettle to switch off before boiling.
    • Alternatively, the kettle can be filled through the spout.
    • Ensure the lid is firmly closed before plugging in the power outlet.
  3. Operation:
    • Place the kettle on its power base.
    • Connect the grounded plug into a power outlet.
    • Press the On/off switch down to the "I" position. The working indicator light will illuminate, and the water will begin to boil.
    • The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has boiled.
    • To manually stop the boiling process, press the switch to the "0" position or lift the kettle from the base.
    • If re-boiling is desired immediately after use, allow approximately 30 seconds for the kettle to cool before pressing the switch again.
    • Ensure the switch is free of obstructions and the lid is firmly closed for proper automatic shut-off.
  4. Pouring Water: Lift the kettle from the power base and carefully pour the water. Avoid opening the lid while the water is hot to prevent scalding from steam. Pour slowly and carefully to prevent tipping the kettle too fast.
  5. Boil-Dry Protection: If the kettle is accidentally operated without water, the boil-dry protection will activate, switching off the power. Allow the kettle to cool completely before refilling with cold water to resume operation.
  6. Storage: When not in use, the kettle can be stored on its power base. Ensure the power supply is turned off.

Maintenance Features:

  1. Cleaning:
    • Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
    • Never immerse the kettle, power cord, or power base in water or other liquids.
    • Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a mild, damp cloth or cleaner.
    • Caution: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden, or abrasive cleaners on the outside of the kettle, as this can cause gloss loss.
    • For the interior, wipe with a mild and damp cloth.
  2. Descaling:
    • Descaling should be performed periodically to remove mineral deposits (scale) that can accumulate at the bottom of the kettle and reduce its efficiency.
    • Commercial Descaler: Follow the instructions provided on the descaler product packaging.
    • White Vinegar Method:
      • Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar, then add water to cover the bottom of the kettle completely.
      • Leave the solution in the kettle overnight.
      • Discard the mixture, then fill the kettle with clean water, boil it, and discard the water. Repeat this process several times until the odor of vinegar is flushed away.
      • Any remaining stains inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth.
  3. Cord Storage: When the kettle is not in use, the power cord can be stored in the cord storage area of the base.
