Hydraulic Steering
Maintenance of the steering system varies with usage and climate
and should be inspected by a qualified marine mechanic at least
twice a year or at the first sign the steering system is not operating
normally.
To check the oil level, remove the steering fluid fill cap. The oil level
should be within 1/2 inch of the bottom of the filler hole. Refer to the
manufacturer’s literature for more information on maintenance. See
Section 7 for more information.
