What to do if my Ski-Doo Snowmobile engine turns over but fails to start?
- LLindsey TurnerJul 26, 2025
If your Ski-Doo snowmobile's engine turns over but doesn't start, there could be several reasons. First, check the fuel tank level and look for any blockages in the fuel line. If the engine is flooded, remove the wet spark plugs, turn the ignition off, and crank the engine a few times. Then, install clean, dry spark plugs and try starting the engine again. Also, inspect the spark plugs for fouling or defects. If there are no sparks, replace the spark plug. Another potential issue is a clogged fuel line due to water or dirt. In this case, remove and clean the fuel filter, replacing the filter cartridge if needed. Also, verify the fuel lines condition and connections and inspect the cleanliness of the fuel tank.
