Safety Instructions for Multi-Function Tools

General

Tool not for people under 16. Use unrolled extension cords with 16 Amps capacity.

When Sawing/Cutting

Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces. Keep hands away from cutting area.

When Sanding

Dust may be harmful. Wear dust mask and work with dust extraction device.

When Connecting New 3-PIN PLUG (U.K. ONLY)

Do not connect blue or brown wire to the earth terminal of the plug.

Use

Changing Accessories

Disconnect plug, remove/mount accessory, ensure openings engage tool head tabs.

Dismounting Accessories

Disconnect plug, loosen screw A with hex key B, check tight seating.

Mounting of Sanding Sheet

Clean VELCRO material, mount sheet, ensure perforation matches sanding foot.

Dust/Chip Extraction

Mount dust extraction device, connect vacuum cleaner. Do not use for metal sanding.

On/Off

Switch on/off by pushing switch E. Tool should run at full speed before contacting workpiece.

Adjusting Working Speed

Use wheel F to adjust frequency from low (1) to high (6). Optimal speed depends on material.

Holding and Guiding the Tool

Hold tool at grey grip areas. Keep ventilation slots uncovered. Do not apply excessive pressure.

Application Advice

Use for separating and plunge cuts in wood, plaster, gypsum, plastics near edges.

Plunge-Cut Saw Blade Use

Use for separating and deep plunge-cuts in wood, plaster, gypsum, soft plastics near edges.

Maintenance / Service

General Maintenance

Keep tool and cord clean. Disconnect plug before cleaning. Tool not for professional use.

After-Sales Service

Send tool undismantled with proof of purchase to dealer or SKIL service station.

Do not dispose of with household waste. Return to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
