16.1 Soft start wiring
912ULS engines after 2013, incorpoarte an ‘easy starts’ system. This retards the
ignition on both mags for a few seconds at start up. To enable this system the engine
is wored to the start solenoid. Nynja wiring looms now contain the wiring for this and
just need the connects making to the engine plugs. See below the explanatory wiring
diagram from the Rotax manual.

It is basically two leads that come off the solenoid spade connector and insert in the
plugs as shown above and also as shown below – the leads are the purple ones in
the picture (note may be a different colour) and connect to the light purple / ‘violet’
wires. Plugs will need releasing form the clips to gain easy access. Connector pins
come with the new engine in the same box as the other electrical accessories. :
