The SKYSHL SS322T Series Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) is a multifunctional test instrument designed for FTTx networks. It is primarily used to measure the length, transmission loss, joint loss, and other physical properties of optical fiber, as well as to locate event points and fault points in optical fiber lines. This device is widely used for engineering construction, maintenance testing, and emergency repair in optical fiber communication systems, as well as for fiber optic cable development and production testing.
Function Description:
The SS322T OTDR offers a comprehensive suite of functions for optical fiber testing and analysis. Its core functionality revolves around the optical time domain reflectometer module, which measures and analyzes the backscattered light from an optical fiber to characterize its properties.
Key functions include:
- Optical Fiber and Cable Testing: Measures the length and loss of optical fiber or cable, and tests the connection loss and reflection loss at connection points.
- Automatic Test Function: Simplifies testing by automatically adjusting test conditions and performing analysis.
- Test Curve Graphing (iOLM): Provides a graphical representation of the fiber's characteristics, aiding in visual fault identification.
- USB Port Connectivity: Allows connection to an optical fiber end face detector for inspecting connector cleanliness and quality.
- Test Waveform Storage: Stores waveform data and test conditions in the device's internal memory or on an external USB flash disk/SD card. Supported storage formats include EI and BellCore GR196 standard formats.
- File Copy Function: Enables direct copying of data files from the device to a USB flash disk or SD card.
- Remote Control Function: Allows setting test conditions and testing the loss distribution curve of the fiber through a computer.
In addition to its primary OTDR capabilities, the SS322T can be equipped with several optional modules:
- Optical Power Meter (OPM): Measures optical power, with a wavelength range of 1200nm to 1650nm and a power range of -70dBm to +3dBm.
- Optical Source (LS): Provides a stable light source for various optical measurements. The wavelength is the same as the OTDR module, with a power output of ≥-5dBm.
- Visual Fault Locator (VFL): Emits a visible red laser to quickly locate breaks, bends, or poor connections in optical fibers. It operates at a wavelength of 650nm±20nm with a power output of ≥2mW.
- End Face Detection Module: Inspects the end face of optical connectors for contamination or damage.
