Overview

The Smart Acoustic Transporta 10 and Transporta 12 are portable professional audio systems designed for mobile applications. These two-way full-range active PA systems offer a range of features for versatile use, including wireless microphone capabilities, a multifunction player, and a telescopic handle with casters for easy transport.

Function Description:

The Transporta series features a comprehensive control panel for managing audio inputs, equalization, and wireless microphone settings.

Wireless Microphone System:

The units are equipped with a UHF receiver for wireless microphones. The channel display shows the radio transmission channel (01-16). "Down" and "Up" buttons allow for channel selection. To find a free channel, users should turn off the radio microphone (transmitter) and receiver, then navigate through available channels. If a channel is in use, the red "RF" LED will light up. The "RF" LED also indicates when a radio signal is transmitted between the microphone and receiver. The green "AF" LED lights up when an audio signal from an external device is present. A "Mute level" control adjusts the minimum signal strength on the radio transmission channel. The "ASC" (Auto Frequency) button transfers channel settings from the device to the microphone via an infrared port. "Power-vol" serves as the power switch for the wireless system and adjusts its volume. An "IR window" is an infrared transmitter for transmitting channel settings to the microphone.

The wireless microphone itself features a head grill to prevent damage and reduce wind/breath noise. An input sensitivity adjustment allows users to increase or decrease sensitivity. The "RF Power Switch" selects the transmission level: "L" (low) for battery saving with reduced range, and "H" (high) for expanded range with reduced battery life. An infrared sensor receives channel settings from the device. Batteries are housed in a compartment for 2 AA cells (LR6, 1.5V) or rechargeable equivalents. A "Power/ASC Battery low indicator light" shows green for power on, green flash for IR transmission, and red flash for low battery. An "ON-Off/Mute switch" controls the microphone's power and mute function.

Audio Inputs and Outputs:

The Transporta 10/12 offers multiple input options:

  • 6.35mm TRS/XLR (balanced) input for CH1.
  • Signal input for CH2/CH3.
  • TS (unbalanced) input connector for CH4 (L/MONO,R).
  • Stereo 3.5mm phone jack input.
  • USB(MP3)/Bluetooth for the internal multifunction player.
  • 6.35mm TS (unbalanced) inputs for CH2/CH3/CH4/CH5.
  • 6.35mm TS L/R (unbalanced) inputs.

Outputs include:

  • TRS (balanced) output for "LINE OUT" to connect to a PA or additional powered speaker. The output volume is controlled by the unit.

Internal Multifunction Player:

The internal multifunction player supports BLUETOOTH, USB, and AUX INPUT. The "MODE" button selects the sound source (USB/AUX/BT). The USB connector does not provide charging. When AUX is selected, music can be played by connecting a 3.5mm jack. For Bluetooth, users connect to the device name "TRANSPORTA 10" or "TRANSPORTA 12". The player also includes control buttons:

  • "PLAY/PAUSE" (►II): Plays or pauses the current audio file in MP3 and BT mode.
  • "PREVIOUS-NEXT" (◄◄ / ►►): Skips to the previous or next song in BT mode. Pressing for 3 seconds reduces or adds volume respectively.
  • "EQ" (EQUALIZATION): Selects different equalization types (Normal, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic, Country, Bass enhance).
  • "CH-" / "CH+": These buttons are not in use.
  • "VOL-" / "VOL+": Reduces or increases volume.
  • "0-9" (Song number button): For direct song selection.
  • "PICK SONG" / "ENTER": These buttons are not in use.

General Controls:

  • "EQ Controller Knobs" (LOW/HIGH): Adjusts high and low frequencies in a range of [-12] to [+12]dB on the master channel.
  • "PWR/LIM" LED: Lights blue during normal operation and red when the speaker is overdriven (clipping). Continuous red light can harm the device.
  • "MASTER" (Main Volume Knob): Adjusts the total system volume.
  • "REVERB Knob": Controls reverb for wireless microphones and CH 1, 2 & 3.
  • "Volume Knob": Controls volume for CH1/CH2/CH3/CH4/CH5.
  • "LINE/MIC switch": Switches between LINE and MIC input signal levels.
  • "Battery Level" indicators: Four LEDs light when batteries are fully charged. Green LEDs go out one by one as capacity decreases, and only the red LED indicates low battery.
  • "CHARGE" LED: Lights during charging and turns off when fully charged.
  • "IEC Power Socket": For connecting to mains power, which also charges the built-in rechargeable batteries even when the unit is off.
  • "Power Switch": On/Off switch for the unit.
  • "Antenna A + B Connector": For wireless modules.
