RED VELVET CUPCAKES
Batter:
1 ¼ Cup All Purpose Flour
2 TBSP Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt
½ Cup Unsalted Butter (1 stick/8 tbsp)
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Large eggs
1 Egg yolk
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 ½ tsp Red Food Coloring
¾ Cup Milk
For best results, have all ingredients at room temperature
Directions:
1. In a large bowl cream butter and sugar with a hand mixer
and beat until light & uffy.
2. Add eggs and vanilla extract to butter/sugar mixture and
beat until incorporated.
3. Scrape the sides of the bowl and continue mixing.
4. Add our, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, milk
and food coloring.
5. Mix on low speed until well incorporated.
6. Plug in unit, spray with vegetable oil and ll each cavity all
the way.
7. Bake between 4-7 minutes or until toothpick inserted in
center comes out clean.
8. Remove cupcakes and allow to cool.
9. Once the cupcakes are cooled, ll with frosting, decorate
as desired and enjoy!
Yield: 16 cupcakes
