NOTE
On SMART Board 6000S (V3) models, the proximity sensor responds when the display is in the networked
standby and the standby power states. On the 6000S and 6000S (C) models, the proximity sensor
responds only when the display is in the networked standby power state.
If the display is in Ready mode, you can turn it on in a number of ways:
l
Press the Power button on the convenience panel.
l
Tap the Home button below the screen.
NOTE
The Home button is illuminated when the display is in Ready mode.
l
Press the Home button on the remote control.
l
Pick up a pen or the eraser.
l
Connect a video cable from a computer to a video input receptacle on the display.
The display also turns on when it receives a video signal.
The SMART Board 6000S (V3) model returns to Ready mode and 6000S and 6000S (C)models return to an
energy saving mode when one of the following occurs:
l

l
You press the Power button on the convenience panel or the remote control.
After entering Ready mode, the display enters an energy saving mode when the sensor doesn’t detect
anyone in the room for the length of time configured in the display’s settings.
For information about turning off the display, see the SMARTBoard 6000S and 6000S Pro series interactive
displays installation and maintenance guide (smarttech.com/kb/171414).
