Usage Features:
- Flashlight Operation:
- To turn on, press the red power/mode button on the bottom.
- Repeated presses cycle through the 5 light modes: High, Medium, Low, Flash, Strobe, followed by off.
- To turn off without cycling through modes, hold the power button for two seconds.
- Adjustable Beam Focus:
- To narrow the beam and increase intensity, pull the front of the flashlight outwards.
- To widen the beam and decrease intensity, push the front of the flashlight inwards.
- Power Bank Functionality:
- To access the USB output port, unlock the bottom of the flashlight by turning it to the left, then pull it down.
- Plug the USB end of the multi-device USB output cable (included) into the HGR-1000's USB port. For Apple® products, use the original Apple® cable.
- Connect the compatible end of the multi-device USB output cable to your USB device for charging.
- Battery Power Level Check:
- Open the bottom of the flashlight (as for power bank access) and press the red battery power check button.
- Blue LED indicators will display the internal lithium battery's charge level.
- Charging the Lithium-Ion Battery:
- Use the included USB recharging cable.
- Plug one end into the micro USB input port on the flashlight and the other end into a USB charger (not included).
- Press the "Power Indicator" button to view the charging status via the blue LEDs.
- Dual Power Option (AAA Batteries):
- Unscrew the back portion of the flashlight and remove the Smartech Lithium-Ion battery.
- Insert four AAA batteries into the included Alkaline AAA Battery Cartridge, ensuring the negative (flat) side touches the springs.
- Load the battery cartridge into the HGR-1000, with the nipple end inserted first.
- Screw the back portion of the flashlight back on.
Maintenance Features:
- Battery Charging: The flashlight should be charged once a month to keep the battery fully charged and ready for use.
- USB Cover: Securely close the USB cover on the barrel of the flashlight to protect against foreign debris and moisture.
- Reverse Polarity Protection: The device includes reverse polarity protection to prevent damage from incorrectly inserted batteries.
- Warning (AAA Battery Cartridge): Do not attempt to charge the HGR-1000 when using the AAA Battery Cartridge with non-rechargeable batteries, as this can cause them to burst and damage the flashlight. If using rechargeable AAA batteries, charge them with an external battery charger only; the built-in charging system is designed exclusively for the Smartech Lithium-Ion battery.
- General Care: Avoid immersing the flashlight in water or dropping it into fire. Do not disassemble the product. Avoid looking directly into the light to prevent eyesight damage.
- USB Cable Usage: The USB charging cable is for indoor use only. Use only the provided Micro USB charging cable for charging this flashlight.
