7. Warranty
Smartwatcher provides a warranty in accordance with national laws
governing the sale of consumer goods and warrants that the watch under
normal use during the warranty period is free from defects in materials and
workmanship.
1. The warranty lasts and is provided in accordance with the respective
local laws, as standard for a period of twenty-four (24) months for the
watch unit from the original date of purchase of the product, and is only
applicable if you have purchased the watch from an offi cial dealership in
a member state of European Union, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein or
Switzerland.
2. During the warranty period Smartwatcher or its authorized service
network will repair or replace, at Smartwatcher’s option, the watch or any
relevant part thereof in the event that the product is found to be defective.
Repair or replacement may involve use of a functionally equivalent recon-
ditioned unit or materials. All replaced defective parts shall become the
property of Smartwatcher.
3. Unless contrary to the respective local law, the warranty in respect of a
repaired or replaced product or part shall extend for the remaining warran-
ty period of the repaired or replaced product or part.
4. The consumer will be required to provide the original purchase receipt
documenting the date and place of purchase as well as the original packa-
ging. If receipt and packaging is not presented or is incomplete or illegible,
Smartwatcher has the right to refuse the warranty service.

6. Regulatory & Safety Notices
1. Do not expose your device or accessories to extreme heat or cold. Ideal
operating conditions is +1°C to +35°C. Extreme cold or heat may interfere
with proper function and lead to fi re or explosion. Do not expose the watch
to direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time.
2. Keep the device and accessories dry. Do not attempt to dry it with
external heat source such as microwave oven or hair dryer.
3. Do not dispose of this watch or its parts with household garbage: follow
local instructions and regulation for disposal.

5. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
a) Normal wear and tear of the watch or parts of the watch.
b) Batteries are subject to normal wear and tear.
c) Any unauthorised disassembly, repair, alteration or modifi cation
being carried out.
d) Defects and damages due to use other than in a normal and customary
manner.
e) Misuse, abuse, negligence or accident howsoever caused.
f) Defects or damage due to spillage of food or liquids, corrosion,
rust or the use of wrong voltage.
g) Scratches or damage to the surfaces and all other externally
exposed parts that are due to normal customer use.
6. This warranty will be null and void in any of the following events:
a) If the serial number has been removed, altered or made illegible
in any way.
b) Damages caused by exposure to water or submersion into water.
c) Without any proof of purchase.
7. Except for the express warranties set forth above, Smartwatcher grants
no other warranties, express or implied, by statute or otherwise, regarding
the product, fi tness for any purpose or otherwise. To the extent permitted
by local laws, Smartwatcher shall not be liable for the loss of use of the
product, inconvenience, loss or any other consequential damage, arising
out of the use of or inability to use the product or for breach of any
express or implied warranty.
2. Getting Started
To be able to use PEARL as watch with a emergency call button,
you fi rst must pair it with your smartphone.
1. Turn on your PEARL watch by pressing and
holding the ON / OFF button ( ) for 3 to 5
seconds to start the watch. The SWAROVSKI
digits light up briefl y and the 2 o’clock position
ashes a green light.
2. On your smartphone, go to “Settings”, „Bluetooth“ and turn
on Bluetooth.
3. Now download the „SmartWatcher - Personal Safety”
application ( App-Store / Google Play Store) for free
on your smartphone and start the app.
During the registration process, please ensure to grant permis-
sion to access location services, push notifi cations and other
App specifi c data.

3. Trigger an alert
In order to trigger an alert, PEARL as well as your smartphone
(on which the SmartWatcher app is installed) be turned on and
the app must be open ANYTIME! In addition, the smartphone
must be within a range of max. 5 meters to the watch.
1. To trigger an alarm, press and hold the
ALARM button ( ) for 3 to 5 seconds.
2. The alarm led animation starts and the
SWAROVSKI digits light up, the 2 o’clock
position stays constantly red.

4. Go to the „Settings“.
Under „Wearables“, you fi nd the
PEARL listed. Select it and then
tap the blue “Connect” in the lower
part of the screen.
5. Now select the „PEARL“ watch
from the Bluetooth device list
(usually starts with SW).
6. It need some seconds until the
„pair request“ is displayed.
Tap on pair.
7. If the pairing between smartphone and PEARL was success-
ful, the word “Connected” is displayed on your smartphone
under Settings, Bluetooth, my devices PEARL.
If the connection was not successful, it will say „Not connected”.
In this case, try again from point 4.
1. To stop an alarm, go to the „Watchers“ screen in
the SmartWatcher app. There you see the red icon
with „emergency call active“. Tap on it.
2. Tap to select the appropriate
response to be sent to your helper(s).
3. The SWAROVSKI stones light up to signal that
the alarm was ended and the light at 2 o’clock
position turns blue.
An alarm can also be triggered directly in the SmartWatcher app. Just press
the blue icon at „Watchers” and this will turn red. Continue as described in
„Triggering an alert” from point 2.
The watch is equipped with 2 button cells batteries:
1. The small button cell (below the bigger) is for the time. If the watch stops
indicating the correct time please bring it to an authorized service center
or watch shop.
2. The large button cell (CR2330) supplies the emergency button function.
In the box, you fi nd a spare one in case you need to replace it.
You can do this yourself:
• Unscrew the 4 screws with the supplied
screwdriver on the back and remove them.
Keep the screws and the cover, e.g. in the
lid of the box. Please be very carefully with
the black sealing ring. It should remain in the
housing since it guarantees waterproofi ng.
• Replace the large button cell with the supplied spare one.
• Place the cover on the button cell and re-tighten the 4 screws.
