Overview

This document outlines the instructions for a storage drawer appliance, covering its function, usage, maintenance, and installation.

Function Description

The appliance is primarily designed as a storage drawer. Its main purpose is to provide a dedicated space for storing various items, such as kitchen utensils, cutlery, or other objects, keeping them organized and out of sight. The drawer features a non-slip base to prevent its contents from shifting when opened or closed, ensuring stability and preventing damage to the stored items.

Usage Features

The appliance is designed for ease of use and safety. It can be operated by children aged 8 and above, as well as individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities, provided they are supervised or instructed by adults responsible for their safety.

When using the drawer, it's important to adhere to certain guidelines:

  • Loading Capacity: The drawer has a maximum load capacity of 15 kg. Exceeding this limit could damage the appliance.
  • Storage of Items: The non-slip base helps keep items in place. However, it is crucial to avoid placing pointed metal objects (like cutlery or utensils) into the slots of the appliance, as this could cause damage. Plastic containers or inflammable objects should not be placed in the drawer due to potential safety risks.
  • Safety Precautions: Children under eight years of age should be kept at a safe distance unless constantly supervised, and they must never play with the appliance. Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, and lids should never be rested on the appliance during use.
  • First Use Preparation: Before the first use, any protective film from the outside or inside of the appliance should be removed, along with any labels (except the identification label). The appliance should then be cleaned with a damp cloth and thoroughly dried.
  • Drawer Operation: The drawer should not be used to lever the appliance into place during installation, and excessive pressure should be avoided when the drawer is open to prevent damage. No weight should be rested on or sat on the open drawer. Care should be taken to ensure no objects get stuck in the drawer mechanism.
  • Flammable Materials: Flammable materials should not be used or left close to or inside the drawer, as this poses a significant danger of fire or explosion.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the longevity and safe operation of the appliance. The cleaning process is straightforward and focuses on maintaining hygiene and preventing damage to surfaces.

  • General Cleaning: The appliance should never be cleaned by unsupervised children. Qualified personnel should carry out any installation and assistance interventions according to current standards. The appliance should not be modified, and attempts to repair it without a qualified technician should be avoided.
  • Cleaning Agents: Abrasive or corrosive detergents, such as scouring powders, stain removers, or metallic scourers, must not be used. Similarly, detergents containing chlorine, ammonia, or bleach should be avoided. Rough or abrasive materials or sharp metal scrapers are also unsuitable for cleaning, as they can damage the surfaces.
  • Cleaning Method: Steam jets should not be used to clean the appliance, as this can cause damage. For general cleaning, a damp cloth with a non-abrasive detergent is recommended.
  • Cleaning the Drawer:
    1. Remove the non-slip base from the drawer.
    2. Apply some non-abrasive detergent to a damp cloth and wipe down the surfaces of the drawer.
    3. Rinse the drawer thoroughly.
    4. Dry the drawer with a soft cloth or a microfibre cloth.
  • Cleaning the Non-Slip Base:
    1. Remove the non-slip base from the drawer.
    2. Clean the non-slip base with warm water and a non-abrasive detergent.
    3. Dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth or a microfibre cloth.
    4. Once perfectly dry, replace the non-slip base in the drawer.
  • Packaging Disposal: The appliance's packaging materials are non-polluting and recyclable. They should be delivered to an appropriate recycling centre. Plastic packaging, in particular, poses a danger of suffocation, so it should not be left unattended, and children should not be allowed to play with plastic bags from the packaging.
  • Appliance Disposal: The appliance must be disposed of separately from other waste, in accordance with European directives (2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC, 2003/108/EC). It does not contain hazardous substances in quantities that would be considered harmful to health and the environment. To dispose of the appliance, it should be delivered to an appropriate recycling centre for electrical and electronic equipment waste, or returned to the retailer when purchasing an equivalent product on a one-for-one basis.
  • Identification Plate: The identification plate, which bears technical data, the serial number, and the brand name, should not be removed for any reason.

The manufacturer disclaims all liability for damage to persons or property resulting from:

  • Using the appliance for purposes other than its intended use.
  • Non-observance of the user manual provisions.
  • Tampering with any part of the appliance.
  • Using non-original spare parts.
