Overview

This document is an installation manual for a dishwasher, providing comprehensive instructions for its correct and safe setup. It is intended for both general users (for introductory information and warnings) and qualified technicians (for detailed installation, hook-up, and testing procedures).

Function Description:

The appliance is designed for the washing and drying of dishes. It is intended for domestic use and similar applications, such as staff kitchens in shops, offices, and other workplaces, institutions, and for use by guests in hotels, hostels, bed and breakfast establishments, and other residential facilities. Any other use is considered improper, and the manufacturer declines all responsibility for uses other than those described.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Dimensions:
    • Height (A): 82 cm - 87 cm (32-9/32" - 34-1/4")
    • Width (B): 59.7 cm - 59.9 cm (23-1/2" - 23-37/64")
    • Depth (C): 58.5 cm (23-1/32")
  • Water Supply:
    • Recommended hot water temperature: 49°C (120°F), maximum 60°C (140°F).
    • Recommended water pressure: 0.5 - 9 bar (7 - 130 PSI). If pressure is too high, a pressure reducer should be fitted.
    • The inlet hose connects to a threaded ¾” gas cold water tap. For models with ACQUASTOP, the filter is already present in the threaded ring nut.
  • Drain Hose:
    • Minimum drain diameter: 4 cm (1-37/64").
    • The free end of the drain hose must lie at a height ranging from 30 to 100 cm (1-7/32" to 3-59/64") above the floor and must never be immersed in water.
    • If horizontal extension hoses with a maximum length of 3m are used, the drain hose should be positioned at a maximum height of 85 cm (3-11/32”) above the floor.
    • Drain connections (to a "T" union or waste disposal unit, with or without an air gap) must be upline from the siphon of the drain line and at least 400 mm (15-3/4”) above the floor on which the dishwasher will be installed.
  • Electrical Connections:
    • The appliance complies with Directives 2006/95/EC and 2004/108/EC, including prevention and elimination of radio frequency interference.
    • The appliance must be grounded in accordance with electrical safety regulations.
    • The voltage, frequency, and protection of the domestic mains power supply must match the ratings on the nameplate, located on the inner edge of the door.
    • The appliance is fitted with a supply cord containing a ground wire and plug, which must be fitted into a suitable, installed, and grounded socket.

Usage Features:

  • Installation: The manual provides step-by-step guidance for installation, including leveling, connecting to water supply and drain, and electrical hook-up.
  • Leveling: The dishwasher must be perfectly level for correct operation, adjusted using adjustable feet. A gap of at least 3 mm (7/64") should be left between the top of the dishwasher and the worktop.
  • Connections: Inlet and drain hoses can be pointed in all directions but must not be bent, crushed, or too tight. Connections should be easily accessible through an adjacent unit, not behind the dishwasher.
  • Steam Guard: An adhesive or steel steam guard (depending on the model) is applied underneath the worktop above the dishwasher door to protect against steam and condensation when the door is opened after a wash cycle.
  • Stability: Built-in appliances should only be installed under continuous worktops and secured to adjacent kitchen units or the worktop with screws to ensure stability.
  • Testing: After installation, the dishwasher should be tested by starting a work cycle to check for leaks and proper operation.

Maintenance Features:

  • Repairs and Servicing: Installation, repairs, and servicing must be performed by qualified and authorized technicians. Work carried out by unauthorized persons may invalidate the warranty and create hazards.
  • Supply Cord: In the event of damage to the supply cord, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized technical service center.
  • Grounding: The appliance must be correctly grounded. The manufacturer declines all responsibility for damage resulting from failure to ground the appliance or from a defective ground connection.
  • Hose Replacement: The dishwasher must always be connected to the water system with new hoses; old or used hoses must never be reused.
  • Nameplate: The nameplate featuring technical data, serial number, and markings is visibly positioned on the inner edge of the door and must never be removed.
  • Troubleshooting: If the dishwasher fails to operate correctly after installation, it should be disconnected from the electrical power supply, and the nearest technical service center should be called. Users should not attempt to repair the appliance.
  • Prohibited Actions: Do not use extension cords, adaptors, or shunt connections. Do not cut the inlet hose. Do not operate the dishwasher unless all outer panels have been correctly positioned. Do not mount a hob over a free-standing dishwasher. Building in a dishwasher underneath a ceramic hob is absolutely forbidden.
