5.9.2 Hidden weights placement
How to fi t adhesive weights on the left side
of the rim disc
—
Clean the ! tting position before attaching the
adhesive weights.
— Fit adhesive weights on the left side of the rim
disc F 5.8.
Applying hidden adhesive weights
The measured values and the positioning arrows for
the two correction positions behind the spokes (Figure
5-29) are given on the right of the Indications Field.
— Turn the wheel to move one of the split
imbalances, on the right side (A,Figure 5-31)
into the compensation
position (green arrows),
then lock the wheel with the brake pedal.
— Clean the application point before attaching the
adhesive weight.
— Apply the balance weight at the indicated point
(in the example 55 grams, A,Figure 5-31).
— Turn the wheel to reach the remaining split right
side weights compensation position, then lock
the wheel with the brake pedal.
— Having cleaned the area affected, apply behind
the second spoke the weight of the value
indicated (in the example 5 grams, B,Figure
5-31).
Note:
Applying split weights does not involve priorities.
The operator can choose which to apply ! rst.
