ASSEMBLY
INSTRUCTIONS
MODEL:
SG
5000
Your
Snapper
shredder-chipper
has
been
shipped
with
the
basic
unit
compietely
assembled,
leaving
only
the
handles,
wheels,
and
foot
to
assemble.
Before
beginning
assembly,
make
sure
all
parts
have
been
received
and
are
in
good
condition.
If
there
are
shortages
or
damages,
file
a
claim
with
the
delivery
company
immediately.
(NOTE:
In
the
following
instructions,
the
"item”
number
refers
to
the
part
number
on
page
13.
Also
note
for
exact
hardware
sizes
check
the
drawing
on
page
15,
drawing
number
800-0035
will
help
prevent
any
incorrect
use
of
hardware
in
assembly.)
(1)
Stand
the
basic
shredder
on
its
discharge
end
and
install
the
axle
assembly
(item
#33)
using
the
two
bolts
(item
#36),
nuts
(item
#40)
and
the
8"
hex
head
bolt
(item
#37).
The
8"
hex
head
bolt
is
installed
in
rear
hole
with
pipe
spacer
(item
#20)
located
between
side
plates
(see
drawing).
DO
NOT
TIGHTEN
YET.

Install
the
wheels
(item
#48)
on
the
axle
using
cotter
pin
(item
#54)
for
each.
Now
tighten
all
bolts
securely.

Install
the
foot
(item
#32)
using
the
two
bolts
(item
#36),
nuts
(item
#40),
and
the
8"
hex
bolt
(item
#37).
The
pipe
spacer
(item
#20)
is
located
between
the
sides
of
the
shredder
with
the
8"
hex
head
'
bolt
(item
#37)
going
through
the
pipe
spacer
(see
drawing).
The
rod
goes
through
the
fonward
holes.
Secure
with
nut
(item
#40).
Stand
basic
shredder
on
wheels
and
foot.

Attach
handles
(item
#45)
to
the
hopper
(item
#31)
as
shown
using
bolts
(item
#38)
and
nuts
(item
#40).
Slip
handle
grips
(item
#46)
onto
handles
(item
#45).
Note;
a
little
soapy
water
or
cleaner
like
Fantastik
or
Formula
409
will
help
the
handle
grips
slide
on
easier.

Service
the
engine
as
recommended
by
the
manufacturer.

Read
the
Operating
Instructions
carefully
before
using
your
shredder-chipper-grinder.
For
