Before using the scales the connections to the arm and foot rests or rails must be checked
to ensure they are secure.
The scales should only be used by trained personnel. It is not designed to be used by the
patient.
2.2 Operating the display unit Basic E 3705
Turning on
Remove any weights from the scales and press the ON/TARA/OFF
button.
After the test routine is completed, the calibration counter appears
briefly and then the display switches to zero.
Calibration counter: no fault messages.
The scale is now ready for use.
Weighing
Either stand or sit on the scales.
The display shows the weight.
On chair scales the arms and legs of the patient must lie on the arm
and foot rests.
Taring
Place some paper towels or seat covers on the scales and press the
ON/TARA/OFF button.
The display shows zero and the letter N for net weight.
Taring is possible over the entire weight range.
Weighing toddlers
An adult steps or stands onto the scales.
> The display could show »67.6 kg« for example
Press the ON/TARA/OFF button.
