If your Sola HD UPS is always in Backup Mode, there might be a few reasons. First, ensure the power cord is securely plugged in. Also, check your fuses and breakers to confirm that input AC power is available. It may also be normal behavior if the line voltage is too high, too low, or if there's a blackout.

How to fix a Sola HD S1K when the green LED will not illuminate?
    • J
      Joseph WellsAug 21, 2025
If the green LED on your Sola HD UPS doesn't illuminate, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure you press the On/Off/Test button for more than 2 seconds. Another reason could be that the battery voltage is less than 10 V (20 V for S1K1500). In this case, recharge the UPS for at least 4 hours and check the input fuse. It is normal condition if load is less than 20 W in Backup Mode.
