The Solaris Electric Convector Heater is a heating appliance designed for indoor use, offering efficient and comfortable warmth through natural heat convection. Manufactured by Mastaş Company since 1976, these heaters are available in Manual, Digital, and Professional models, catering to various user preferences and control needs.
Function Description
The core function of the Solaris Electric Convector Heater is to provide space heating. Cold air enters through channels on the lower skirt of the body, passes through heated grids containing a resistor, and exits as warm air through grids on the front panel. This process creates a natural circulation of heat within the room. The devices are calibrated by the manufacturer, but actual measured temperatures may vary due to factors such as ground clearance, proximity to windows or doors, room size, and internal heat circulation streams. The digital display brightness automatically decreases at night for user comfort.

Usage Features
The Solaris Electric Convector Heaters are designed for user-friendly operation with distinct features across their models.
- General Operation: To operate, plug the unit into a grounded socket and turn the power switch to the "ON" position (indicated by "I").
- Power Setting (Manual Models):
- 2000-watt units feature a dual power switch, allowing operation at 1000 watts (first step) or 2000 watts (second step).
- 1000-watt units have a single power switch.
- Temperature Adjustment (Manual Models): Temperature can be adjusted by rotating a knob on top of the heater.
- Digital and Professional Models:
- On/Off: Push the On/Off button briefly to turn the unit on. The indicator display will show the room temperature.
- Temperature Adjustment: Use the temperature increasing (+) or decreasing (-) pushbuttons to set the desired temperature. The unit will adjust its power output to reach the set temperature.
- Timer Setting: The timer allows programming for up to 48 hours. If the program memory exceeds 48 hours, the display will reset to zero. This feature is useful for pre-heating a room before arrival.
- Safety Lock: Pressing the safety lock button for 2-3 seconds activates the lock, displaying "LO" (LOCK) on the screen. This prevents accidental changes to settings. To unlock, press the button again for 2-3 seconds, and "UL" (UNLOCK) will appear.
- Real-Time Clock (Professional Models): The timer setting is saved even when the unit is switched off but connected to power. It is lost if the heater is unplugged or power is interrupted for more than six hours.
- Energy Consumption Monitoring (Professional Models): This feature displays the total operating hours of the resistor. To access this, press and hold the menu button for approximately six seconds. The blinking value on the display indicates the total operating time, allowing users to estimate energy consumption using the formula: Energy Consumption (kWatt/hour) = Value on the Screen x Power of the Unit (Watt) / 1000.
- Programming (Professional Models):
- Daily Program: Used to turn the heater on or off at a desired time. Activate by pressing and holding the menu and time buttons simultaneously for three seconds. Set the desired off-time using the timer button.
- Weekly Program: Used to set the desired temperature for specific times on weekdays and weekends (12 different hours, 6+6). Activate by pressing and holding the menu and 24/7 buttons simultaneously for three seconds. Adjust temperature and time using the plus/minus and timer buttons.
- Adaptive Start Feature (Professional Models): This feature, used with the weekly program, ensures the room reaches the desired temperature by the programmed time. The heater calculates an earlier start time based on the difference between ambient and target temperatures and a user-defined parameter (P01: early turn-on time per degree, 0-40 minutes). An optional limit (P02: maximum early turn-on time, 0-5 hours) can be set. To activate, press and hold the menu button for six seconds until "ASEt" appears, then adjust P01 and P02 using the plus/minus buttons.
- Turning Off: Turn off the appliance by pushing the power switch or unplugging it from the socket.
- Installation: The heaters can be wall-mounted using the provided brackets. Minimum safety zones (at least 50mm from sides and top, 100mm from bottom) must be maintained for efficient operation. Alternatively, a wheel set can be used for portable models, requiring placement on a flat surface.
Maintenance Features
Solaris Electric Convector Heaters are designed for long-term service with minimal maintenance.
- Cleaning:
- Always unplug the heater from the mains socket before cleaning.
- Do not use solvents, scratching liquids, or powder detergents.
- Clean with a soft, moist cloth.
- It is recommended to clean the heater with a vacuum cleaner twice a year to remove dust from the grids.
- General Advice:
- Do not immerse the appliance in liquid or allow liquid into its interior.
- Protect the heating cable from potential tension. Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
- Do not restrict airflow to the inlet or outlet grills by surrounding the heater with walls, curtains, etc. Maintain at least 0.5 m clearance around the heater.
- In case of malfunction or damage, consult the Distributor's Consumer Advisory Hotline. Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself.
- Storage and Transport:
- Protect the appliance against impacts and collisions during transport.
- Store in a moisture-free place, in an upright position, stacking no more than four units.
- Follow warnings printed on packages during transport.
- If the original packaging is unavailable, take measures to prevent impact to the outer surfaces.
Warranty:
The product comes with a 3-year guarantee period (2 years for legal entities in Romania) starting from the delivery date. The warranty covers material defects and manufacturing faults. It does not cover damages resulting from:
- Use other than specified in the user manual.
- Maintenance or repairs by unauthorized persons.
- External physical factors (impact, collision, scratches) or chemical reasons during transport, loading, unloading, or storage.
- Voltage fluctuations, faulty electrical installations, or use with incorrect voltages.
- Fire or lightning.
- Alterations or distortions to the registry tag and guarantee certificate.
- The warranty becomes void if the original serial number is removed or altered.
The repair period is a maximum of 30 days. If the same defect repeats twice within one year, or if more than four breakdowns occur due to different reasons, or if the total breakdowns exceed six times, the customer may request replacement, refund, or price reduction.
