      Skipping or misfiring of the handpiece can occur if evaporated water from the skin condenses on the tip, or if water vapor is present within the tip, which interferes with the laser's optical tracking. To resolve this: * Have the patient hold a handheld fan close to the skin, ahead of the handpiece tracking. * Stretch the skin during treatment to facilitate smoother tracking. * Regularly clean condensation from the skin. * Ensure the skin is dry before treatment. * Clean the handpiece lens.
