Do you have a question about the Somogyi home TH 113 and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the TH 113 set of remote-controllable power sockets with a remote controller, manufactured by Somogyi Electronic. The manual provides instructions in English, Hungarian, Romanian, Serbian, and Slovenian.
The TH 113 system allows for the comfortable remote operation of various household devices such as TV sets, radio receivers, lamps, heaters, and fans. The system is expandable, with each remote control capable of operating up to five sockets independently. Multiple remote controls can be used within the same range without interference. The sockets are factory-coded as A, B, C, D, or E, corresponding to the ON/OFF buttons on the remote control. The letter on the back of each socket indicates its code.
To begin using the remote control, the battery compartment cover needs to be slid down (after pressing where indicated) and the insulating strip removed from the battery. The remote control features five channel selector switches (2) located above the battery, which determine the communication channel between the remote control and the sockets. These switches can be set to any arbitrary position, but their configuration must match the switches on the sockets intended for control. The sockets also have a row of ten switches (4) underneath a rectangular, screw-held cover on their back. The first five of these switches are used to select the communication channel, mirroring the remote control's switches.
Once the sockets are plugged into the network, pressing an ON button on the remote control will energize the corresponding socket, indicated by a red LED light. Devices plugged into the sockets should be left permanently on, as they will be effectively turned on and off via the remote-controlled socket. To turn off a device, the OFF button on the remote control must be pressed and held for at least half a second. The sockets are equipped with a child protection lock to prevent access to electrically charged parts when nothing is plugged in.
Channel Configuration: The sockets and remote control are pre-configured with channels at the factory. A sticker on each socket indicates which remote control button (A, B, C, D, or E) controls it, with "A" being the default. Channel changes are only recommended if communication problems occur (e.g., inability to control the socket or interference from similar systems). To change the communication channel, the remote control's battery compartment cover must be removed to access its channel selector switches (2). By default, all five switches are in the "ON" position (Figure 1).
The combination of the five switches on the remote control must be identical to the first five switches on the socket for communication to occur. This allows for 32 different channels, enabling multiple independent systems to operate in the same area.
Assigning Buttons: By default, the remote control buttons (A, B, C, D, E) are assigned to sockets with the corresponding letter on their sticker. To change this mapping, the channel selector switches (4) on the socket itself need to be adjusted. The first five switches on the socket must always match the remote control's channel settings. The last five switches (6-10) on the socket determine which remote control button controls it. For example, to re-assign a socket originally controlled by button "A" to button "E", the last five switches on the socket should be set according to Figure 5 in the manual.
