Use buttons on the unit for the operation.
1 Connect audio cords.
See “Hooking up optional components” on
page 56.
2 Press VIDEO/SAT to switch the
function to VIDEO or SAT.
Start playing the connected component.
Notes
• If you cannot select “SAT” by pressing VIDEO/SAT
repeatedly, hold down VIDEO/SAT and then press
?/1 while the power is on. The function will change
from “VIDEO” to “SAT”, and “SAT” will appear in
the display. To change back to “VIDEO”, repeat the
same procedure.
• If the sound is distorted or too loud when “VIDEO”
is selected or you want to switch back to “SAT”,
repeat the operation described above to switch to
“SAT”.
• You cannot switch the VIDEO/SAT function in
Power Saving Mode (page 51).
1 Connect a digital optical cord.

2 Connect 6 speakers to an AV amplifier
equipped with a decoder.
For the speaker placement, refer to the
operating instructions supplied with the
connected amplifier.
3 Switch the output to 5.1 channel Dolby
Digital sound or 5.1 channel DTS
sound.

language” on page 25.
Tip
You cannot use the surround effect of this system.
