Overview

The SOTA Magnetic Pulser Model MPG2 is a consumer product designed to be used as part of a Wellness Lifestyle, generating pulsed magnetic fields to create microcurrents of electricity that work with the body's natural electricity for general health and well-being. It can be used independently or in conjunction with other SOTA Products.

Function Description:

The device operates by generating pulsed magnetic fields. These fields, in turn, create microcurrents of electricity within the body. The manufacturer states that this process is intended to support general health and well-being by interacting with the body's natural electrical systems. The Magnetic Pulser is designed for ease of use, with a simple ON/OFF toggle switch and LED indicators to show its operational status.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Magnetic Field Intensity: Greater than 6000 Gauss at the face of the Encased Coil, as tested with an F.W.Bell 5080 Tesla Meter. This indicates a strong magnetic field output.
  • Pulse Duration: Approximately 2.5 milliseconds (mS). This specifies the length of each magnetic pulse.
  • Pulses per Cycle: 64 pulses per cycle, with each cycle lasting approximately 5 minutes. This defines the operational rhythm and duration of a single treatment session.
  • Power Requirements: 12 Volts DC at a minimum of 1.5 Amps, with a Tip or Center Positive polarity. It is crucial to adhere to these specifications to prevent injury or unit failure, which would void the warranty.
  • Power Input: The unit is powered by an AC-DC Wall Adaptor. An optional power input allows operation from a 12 Volt DC source, such as an automobile battery or a solar panel, provided a Universal Power Cord with Tip or Center Positive polarity is used.

Usage Features:

  • Ease of Use: The device is straightforward to operate. Users simply plug in the AC-DC Wall Adaptor, place the Encased Coil on or near the body, and move the toggle switch to the ON position.
  • LED Indicators: Green LEDs sequentially light up to indicate the pulse is building and being released. A Red LED illuminates when a cycle is completed (after 64 pulses, approximately 5 minutes), or to signal trouble.
  • Coil Placement: The Encased Coil should be placed on or as close to the body as possible. Clothing does not interfere with the magnetic field, which penetrates up to nine inches.
  • Session Length: It is recommended to start slowly (10 minutes) and gradually increase session length. Daily use typically ranges from 20–30 minutes to two hours or more. For specific purposes, longer and more frequent sessions may be beneficial.
  • Coil Temperature: The Encased Coil will become very warm to hot with normal use. If it becomes uncomfortable, users should turn the unit OFF, allow it to cool, or place a single layer of towel or blanket between themselves and the coil, ensuring proper airflow.
  • Hydration: Users are advised to drink plenty of water, especially ozonated water, when using the unit.
  • Gradual Cessation: If using the device for an extended period, it is suggested to gradually reduce the amount of time each day for the last week of use. If multiple SOTA units are used, stop one unit at a time.
  • Safety Precautions (DO NOT USE):
    • Not for use with pacemakers (may be safe below the waist with physician's permission).
    • Not for use during pregnancy.
    • Not for use in areas with implanted devices (shunts, etc.).
    • Not for use in areas of external or internal bleeding wounds, including menstruation.
    • Not for use in areas with metal implants, as metals may absorb heat and cause discomfort or burns (metal dental fillings are rarely affected).
    • Not for use near water, while driving, or operating heavy equipment.
  • Cautions:
    • Discontinue use in the area of pain if nerve pain or increased nerve pain occurs.
    • Exercise caution when using heat-producing or heat-sensitive ointments, lotions, or medications to prevent skin burns.
    • Ensure proper airflow around the Encased Coil to prevent overheating and potential skin burns.
    • Keep the unit away from homeopathic remedies, credit cards, security cards, audio/video tapes, computer disks, hearing aids, cell phones, and other electronic equipment to prevent damage or data loss.
    • Always operate the unit on a hard, flat surface to avoid impeding vent holes.
    • Users acknowledge responsibility for their decision to use SOTA Products and hold SOTA harmless for any injuries or damage.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: While not explicitly detailed, general care for electronic devices would apply, such as keeping the unit clean and free from dust.
  • Storage: Unplug the Wall Adaptor when the unit is not in use.
  • Troubleshooting: If the Red LED light indicates trouble, users should consult the manual or contact support.
  • Warranty: The Magnetic Pulser Model MPG2 comes with a two (2) year limited warranty. Proof of purchase is required. The warranty is void if failure is due to abuse or negligence. SOTA reserves the right to make changes to the product without obligation.
  • Replacement Accessories: Users should contact their supplier for replacement accessories.
  • Repairs: For return instructions and information about the closest repair depot, users can contact repairs@sota.com or call 1.250.770.2023 or 1.800.224.0242 (toll-free in Canada & USA).
