What to do if my Sottoriva VELA 90-130/1 Mixer does not start?

  If your Sottoriva Mixer machine or a part of it isn't starting, here are a few things to check: * First, make sure the emergency shut-down button isn't activated. If it is, reset it by rotating the pushbutton clockwise. * Also, check that the accident-prevention guard is down. * The magnetothermic switch might have been triggered, so try resetting it. Refer to par. 4.7.3 for routine maintenance. * A fuse could be blown; replace it. Refer to par. 4.7.3 for routine maintenance. * There may be one motor phase earthed or short-circuited, which requires replacing the motor. Refer to par. 4.7.3 for extraordinary maintenance.

Why does the tank oscillate excessively on my Sottoriva Mixer?

  If the tank of your Sottoriva Mixer oscillates excessively when rotating, it could be due to a couple of reasons: * There might be too much play between the thrust bearing wheels and the tank. To fix this, adjust the supports of the thrust bearing wheels so that each wheel touches the tank at the point where the tank is closest to the wheel. This requires extraordinary maintenance. * Alternatively, the belt could be too loose. Tighten the belt as described in par. 4.5.
