If not, add some. * Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb three times, waiting two seconds between each press. * If the engine is flooded, wait a few minutes before trying to start it again. * Ensure the spark plug wire is securely attached to the spark plug. * Inspect the throttle control lever and wire for any defects, replacing if needed. * Remove and inspect the spark plug, replacing it if it's fouled. * Clean or replace a clogged air filter. * Drain the fuel tank, clean it, and refill with fresh fuel if the fuel is contaminated.
