What to do if Southworth Lifting Systems lift fails to hold?

If your Southworth Lifting System fails to hold, the down valve might be leaking. Remove the down valve and inspect it for any debris that may be preventing it from closing properly. Another possibility is that the down valve may be energized; in this case, check the solenoid in the valve using a voltmeter. Also, the cylinder may be leaking; check the vent line for oil in the cylinder.
