Why my Soyer SK-5AN Welding Accessories system does not weld, showing no sparking?
    • J
      Jeremy GarnerAug 11, 2025
If your Soyer Welding Accessories system isn't welding, and you're seeing no sparking or only slight sparking, start by checking all welding and control cables to ensure they are tightly connected and undamaged; replace if necessary. Also, ensure the earth clamps are firmly attached to the workpiece, and that welding/earth connection points are clean and free of oxide films. Verify that the height of lift and depth of immersion are set correctly according to your welding head's operating instructions, and that the gas flow rate is set to 4-5 l/min.

Why am I getting various welding results with my Soyer SK-5AN?

      Douglas SandovalAug 17, 2025
If you're experiencing inconsistent welding results with your Soyer Welding Accessories, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the height of lift and depth of immersion are correctly set according to your welding head's instructions. Use only SOYER welding studs to avoid issues with dimensions or surface finish. Also, verify that welding energy, welding time, and gas flow are set correctly, referring to your stud welder's operating instructions. Check that all cable connections and earth clamps are tight and providing a good earth connection. Ensure the stud is fully inserted into the stud chuck until it stops, replacing the chuck if needed. Lastly, ensure the workpiece is well-supported to prevent spring back during welding; consider using a stand with a support tube.

If the stud isn't lifting when using your Soyer Welding Accessories, make sure the height of lift is correctly set according to your welding head's operating instructions. Check that the knurled screw isn't at its limit stop. Also, ensure that the proximity switch is properly set according to chapter 4.4.

    • L
      Larry VillegasAug 29, 2025
If the stud thread is scorching when using your Soyer Welding Accessories, it might be because the studs are too loose in the stud chuck or the stud chuck is worn. Try inserting a new stud chuck or replacing the stud chuck.

Why is there bead formation to one side only when using Soyer SK-5AN?
    • P
      Peter CraigSep 4, 2025
If you notice bead formation only on one side at equal points when using your Soyer Welding Accessories, it's likely due to a magnetic blowing effect during welding. To resolve this, try altering the earth clamp fixture and placing iron parts on the edges.
