Do you have a question about the Spray Master Technologies POWER CLEAN C Series and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The SprayMaster Power Clean Central System is a robust, wall-mounted pressure washer designed for commercial and industrial cleaning applications. It offers a centralized solution for dispensing cleaning chemicals and applying high-pressure water, streamlining cleaning processes and enhancing efficiency.

Function Description

The device serves as a central system for pressure washing, integrating chemical metering and high-pressure water delivery. It is designed to be connected to a water supply and a chemical concentrate, allowing users to select and apply various cleaning solutions at controlled dilutions. The system features a master control panel for managing operations, including power, chemical selection, and pressure settings. It supports both low-pressure chemical application (soap/rinse) and high-pressure water rinsing, making it versatile for a range of cleaning tasks. The unit is equipped with a spray gun assembly that includes a dual nozzle for switching between different spray patterns and pressures.

Important Technical Specifications

The SprayMaster Power Clean Central System comes in several models, including 2.0 C, 5.0 C, and International C Series, each with specific electrical and flow characteristics.

  • Water Flow Rate: Minimum 5 GPM.
  • Pressure: 30 PSI min. to 80 PSI max.
  • Temperature: 160° F max, 70.1° C.
  • Electrical Specifications:
    • Power Clean 2.0 C: 120V, 60Hz, 20 AMP
    • Power Clean 5.0 C: 240V, 60Hz, 30 AMP
    • Power Clean International C: 230V, 50Hz, 20 AMP
  • Chemical Metering: The system utilizes two electronic chemical injectors. It is calibrated to deliver specific ounces per gallon (OZ./Gal.) of chemical, with charts provided for various flow rates and desired dilutions. For example, at 2.1 GPM, a 1/4 setting yields 371 OZ./Gal., while a 3.0 GPM flow at the same setting yields 400 OZ./Gal.
  • Safety Features: Includes a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) for electrical protection, warnings against chemical ingestion, and guidelines for safe operation with high-pressure water and electrical components. It also warns against operating the pump when the chemical supply is empty.

Usage Features

The system is designed for user-friendly operation with several key features:

  • User Operated Controls: A master control panel allows users to turn the unit ON/OFF, select chemical solutions (Rinse, Chem 1, Chem 2), and monitor system status via LED indicators.
  • Spray Gun Assembly: The included spray gun features a dual nozzle, allowing for quick switching between a low-pressure "soap" nozzle (for chemical application) and a high-pressure "rinse" nozzle (for water rinsing). A vari-nozzle option provides adjustable spray patterns from zero-degree stream to wide fan.
  • Chemical Selection: The system supports two chemical inputs, enabling users to switch between different cleaning agents without manual intervention.
  • Pre-Operation Check: Before each use, users are instructed to check oil levels, verify GFCI functionality, inspect hoses for damage, and ensure the spray gun is locked out when not in use.
  • Preparation for Use: This includes verifying surface and equipment cleanliness, confirming power switch lockout, wearing safety goggles and other PPE, and ensuring clear area of slip or trip hazards.
  • Operation: Users are guided to firmly grasp the spray gun, point it in a safe direction, and squeeze the trigger to release pressure and apply chemicals or rinse. The unit should be turned to "OFF" position when not in use.
  • Accessories: Compatible with various Spray Master Technologies high-pressure cleaning system accessories, including Hummer Jet™ Jr. (indoor floor surface cleaner), Dual-Nozzle Spray Gun, Vari-Nozzle Spray Gun, Tornado Spray Gun, 6" Shorty Spray Gun, Wall and Tile Brush, and Trap Shooter.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the SprayMaster system:

  • Daily Maintenance: Includes checking oil level, verifying GFCI operation, inspecting hoses, and replacing damaged fittings or nozzles.
  • General Maintenance:
    • Oil: Add oil to the pump reservoir as needed to keep the oil level at the center of the oil-level sight glass between the arrows. First oil change must be done at 50 hours of operation, followed by changes every 3 months or after 50 hours of operation. Use ISO-68 non-detergent hydraulic oil only.
    • Water Supply Filter: A quality water supply filter is essential to pump life longevity. Replace with 5-micron water supply filter every 3 months or as needed.
    • Chemical Foot Screen: Flush the chemical foot screens and injector with warm water to remove chemical buildup every 90 days or sooner.
    • Hard Water Deposit: Flush the pump with a de-liming agent such as Lime-A-Way as often as necessary to keep the system free of mineral buildup.
  • Moving & Storage: Spray Master Central System units are stationary units that are installed to walls or racks. Store Spray Master equipment and accessories indoors and so that they do not present a trip or fall hazard. Winterize the system with potable water antifreeze in freezing conditions.
  • Winterizing: Turn off the water supply and disconnect the water supply hose from the unit. Run the unit with the spray gun open at each remote location until antifreeze is detected. Fill the tank with a suitable potable anti-freeze solution. Run the unit with the spray gun open until the tank is empty. Refill tank with additional antifreeze until all remote locations have been winterized. Disconnect unit from power.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides guidance on identifying and resolving common issues, such as pressure problems, chemical metering inaccuracies, and electrical faults.
  • Limited Warranty: The product comes with a limited warranty covering defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of shipment for the original purchaser, excluding normal wear and tear items. Exclusions include damage from misuse, abuse, unauthorized repairs, or natural disasters.
