SPARK PLUGS
Spark plugs should be inspected periodi-
cally for carbon deposits. When carbon ac-
cumulates on a spark plug, a strong spark
may not be produced.
If necessary, clean the electrodes with a
fine wire brush and carefully scrape the
carbon off the insulator with a small file. The
spark plugs should be blown clean with
compressed air and the upper insulator
wiped clean. And adjust the spark plug gap.
Service interval
Change every 30,000km or 2 years
CAUTION
• When replacing the spark plugs,
disconnect the negative terminal of
the battery and turn off all the
switches.
• It is recommended that the engine
be cool or cold when changing the
spark plugs (you could burn your-
self).
• Do not use non-recommended
spark plugs.
• Do not allow contaminants to en-
ter spark plug hole.
WARNING
Spark plugs may be very hot.
Be careful not to burn yourself.
