S: Standard mode
Use the standard mode in normal driving
conditions.
Adjusting the Shiftable Gear
The shiftable gear can be adjusted by moving
the shift lever to left (-) or right (+).
Shift Lever Lock Release Hole
If you cannot shift out of “P”, depress the
brake pedal and push down this hole with a
stick such as a pen.
Always apply the brake when shift-
ing from the “P” position with the
ignition on.
SHIFT LEVER IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
The shift lever moves without de-
pressing the brake pedal. However,
for safety reasons, the brake pedal
should also be depressed.
The shift lever moves only when
the brake pedal is depressed.
The shift lever moves without de-
pressing the brake pedal.
z Never depress the accelerator pedal when moving the shift lever.
z If you have to stop on a hill, securely depress the brake pedal.
