Application
The Siedle Classic passthrough let-
terbox is available in two different
widths. The recessing depth is vari-
able and can be adjusted to a wall
thickness of 290 to 440 mm with
the aid of the grid at the side and
the length dimension. The letterbox
should be mounted ush with the
surface, but can be recessed by up
to max. 15 mm.
Rain
Letterbox systems with passthrough
letterboxes are sealed towards the
front. They are protected against
the effects of splash water and
normal rainfall. For unprotected and
exposed mounting situations with
frequent exposure to heavy rain (e.g.
in coastal areas), take suitable con-
struction measures when installing
to achieve optimum rain protection.
Ambient moisture
Natural stone and concrete have the
ability to store moisture. The pro-
tracted effect of moisture can result
in leaks and damage to the housing.
When installing for instance in
garden walls, we recommend pro-
viding additional protection against
the ingress of moisture into the
compartments by using a suitable
protective lm.
Effect of pressure
Housings can be deformed by the
weight of wet concrete and/or by
the compaction process. Suitable
support measures should therefore
be provided for in the box.
Mounting
1 Remove the plaster guard from
the ush mount housing, break out
the cable bushing from the housing
and thread in the cable. Reinforce
the ush mount housing using the
plaster guard and grout in with the
front ush to the outside wall.

2 Grout in the ush mount housing
ush with the surface. The plaster
guard must be inserted in the
housing in order to prevent defor-
mation. It must not under any cir-
cumstances stand proud of the wall,
and must be grouted to a maximum
of 8mm (0.31inch.) in the wall, as
otherwise the xing screws for the
front panel will be too short.
Changing the letterbox name-
plate
Open the letter ap and insert a
coin in the unlocking slot behind the
nameplate. Unlock the nameplate
exerting only minimal pressure.
Installation and commissioning
Installation, commissioning and pro-
gramming are described in the rel-
evant system manual and enclosed
with the line rectier/server.
Application
La boîte aux lettres avec porte à
l’arrière Siedle Classic est disponible
en deux largeurs différentes. La pro-
fondeur de montage est variable et
peut être adaptée à une épaisseur de
mur de 290 à 440 mm, à l’aide du
quadrillage latéral et de la cote de
longueur. Le montage doit afeurer
sur la façade, mais il peut être en
retrait de 15 mm au maximum.
Pluie
Les installations de boîtes aux
lettres avec porte à l’arrière sont
étanchéiées vers l’avant. Elles sont
protégées contre les projections
d’eau et la pluie normale. Pour les
emplacements de montage non pro-
tégés et exposés, où de fortes pluies
sont fréquentes (p.ex. à proximité
des côtes), des mesures constructives
appropriées doivent être prises lors
du montage, an d’assurer une pro-
tection optimale contre la pluie.
Humidité ambiante
La pierre naturelle et le béton ont
pour propriété d’emmagasiner
l’humidité. Une inuence prolongée
de l’humidité peut avoir pour consé-
quence des fuites et des endom-
magements du boîtier. Dans le cas
d’un montage dans des murs de
jardin, par exemple, nous conseillons
d’ajouter une protection complé-
mentaire des boîtes avant la maçon-
nerie, à l’aide d’un lm approprié
protégeant contre la pénétration
d’humidité.
Inuence de la pression
Le poids du béton humide et/ou
le processus d’étanchéité peuvent
déformer les boîtiers. Des mesures
de soutien appropriées dans les
boîtiers doivent par conséquent être
prévues.
Montage
1 Retirer le carton protecteur
d‘enduit du boîtier encastrable,
détacher le passe-câble du boîtier
et introduire le câble, renforcer le
