The SSS Siedle NG 402-03 is a line rectifier designed for use with 6+n technology and the PVG 402-... P.O. amplifier unit. It facilitates duplex speech operation between the door loudspeaker and in-house telephones, providing power for call, speech, and door release functions, as well as illuminating call buttons.
Function Description:
The NG 402-03 serves as a power supply unit within the Siedle system. Its primary role is to convert AC mains voltage into the necessary DC and AC voltages required for the operation of various Siedle components. Specifically, it provides a regulated 8.3 V DC for speech and call functions and 12 V AC for other system components like the three-tone chime or storey call buttons. The device is thermally fused on the secondary side to protect against short circuits and overloads.

Usage Features:
- Application Scope: The line rectifier is exclusively intended for powering Siedle systems. Any other use is considered improper and will void the manufacturer's liability.
- Mounting: The device is designed for top hat rail mounting. It can be easily clipped onto a DIN rail.
- Wiring: A terminal diagram is provided, illustrating connections with various series of in-house telephones that include an audio privacy function.
- When multiple call button modules are used in the door loudspeaker, terminals c, b, and 6 must be connected consistently.
- Terminal 'b' is specifically required for the three-tone chime or for connecting a storey call button (ERT).
- Installation Environment:
- Installation, mounting, and servicing must only be performed by a suitably qualified electrician to prevent serious health damage or fatal injury from electric shocks.
- Operation is permissible at altitudes up to 2000 m above sea level.
- The installation must comply with EN 62368-1.
- A building installation must include an all-pole mains switch with a contact opening of at least 3 mm.
- The device must not be exposed to dripping or sprayed water.
- Adequate ventilation is crucial; ensure that ventilation slots are not covered.
- If stranded cores are used as cable material, they must be fitted with wire end ferrules.
- Commissioning: Detailed installation and commissioning procedures are described in the "Door and in-house telephony" planning and installation manuals, available for download from www.siedle.com.
Maintenance Features:
- Troubleshooting: The NG 402-03 incorporates a thermal fuse on the secondary side for protection. In the event of a short circuit or overload, the primary fuse should be checked. To reset the device, disconnect it from power for approximately 1 minute.
- Scope of Supply: The product package includes the line rectifier for top hat rail mounting and this product information manual.
