OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: Please read carefully before using your electric
gluegun.
1. Plug your glue gun into an electricaloutlet.
2. To open the fold-away-stand, take hold of the flanges on
both sides of the stand and pull forward until the stand locks
intoposition.
3. The Stanley® Dualmelt™ Glue gun allows you to work on the
high setting for general purpose use and the low setting for
heat sensitive materials. High-low switch is located in center
front of handle. Move switch to desired temperature setting.
High temperature is for bonding wood, leather, ceramics
and other non-porous materials. Low temperature is
for bonding paper, fabric, dried flowers and other heat

WARNING: When using electric tools, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk
of fire, electrical shock and personalinjury.
READ ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Do not touch the nozzle area or meltedglue.
2. Keep work area clean. Work environment should be clean,
dry well lit and clear of flammablematerials.
3. Guard against electric shock. Prevent body contact with
grounded surfaces like pipes and appliances. Do not use
nearwater.
4. Inspect extensioncords.
5. Keep childrenaway.
6. Always use safetyglasses.
7. Don’t abuse cord. Never carry the tool by the cord or yank
the cord to disconnect from plug orreceptacle.
8. Disconnect tools when not inuse.
9. Avoid accidental glue discharge. Do not touch the glue stick
or trigger except to dispenseglue.
10. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this
product to rain ormoisture.
11. When not in use, the tool should be storedindoors.
12. Do not pull glue sticks from gun. The feed mechanism may
become damaged or impaired. If you desire to change types
of glue, cut off protruding end and feed the remainder
through with the new type ofglue.
CAUTION: WHEN GUN IS HOT DO NOT LAY IT ON ITS
SIDE. ALWAYS USE STAND. MELTED GLUE WILL BURN
SKIN. OPERATING TEMPERATURE OF THE NOZZLE IS
380° F (193°C). DO NOT TOUCH THE NOZZLE AREA OR
MELTEDGLUE.
Electrical Safety
Double insulated tools are equipped with a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install a polarized outlet. Do not change the plug
in any way. Double insulation eliminates the need for the three
wire grounded power cord and grounded power supplysystem.
Safety Precautions:
• Do not touch nozzle area of glue gun or meltedglue.
• Do not make repairs to the gluegun.
• Do not use a damaged gluegun.
• Do not allow glue gun to come in contact with water,
liquids orrain.
• Do not carry the tool by the cord or pull cord to disconnect
it from theoutlet.
• For interior useonly.
• Do not leave the glue gun unattended duringuse.
• Do not attempt to remove unused glue from the glue gun
afteruse.
• Place the glue gun in the upright position when idle using
the fold down standprovided.
• Do not use this product in areas where the risk of explosion
ispresent.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified persons in
order to avoid ahazard.
