  If white smoke is coming out of your Star-Light Fryer, it's likely due to one of two reasons. First, the food you're cooking may be very fatty; during preparation, fat from these foods drips into the fryer pan, causing higher temperatures. This is normal and doesn't affect the appliance or cooking results. Alternatively, the drip tray might contain food residue from a previous use. To resolve this, clean the drip tray after each use.
