Why is my Starport Security Sensors alarm going off for no reason?

Your Starport Security Sensors alarm might be constantly going off because it's picking up signals from mobile phones outside your area or other non-cellular RF signals. To fix this, try switching the PMR setting to 'off' and/or reducing the THRESH setting.

What to do if Starport Security Sensors alarm is not triggered by cell phone activity?

If your Starport Security Sensors alarm isn't triggering with nearby cell phones, it could be due to several reasons. The phone signal might be too weak, perhaps because of a nearby cellular base station. The phone might not be transmitting at all. The unit could be on a metal surface or blocked by something that's interfering with the signal. Also, check that the unit is powered on correctly, the batteries are good, and the alarm switches are toggled ON while the RECORD switch is toggled OFF. Try increasing the sensitivity (THRESH) to the maximum, moving the detector away from metal surfaces or obstructions, testing with other phones, and trying different locations.
