Begin assembly by starting with the main mechanics of the helicopter.
Install the landing gear to the bottom of the mechanics, ensuring rubber dampers are correctly placed.
Trial fit, mark, and drill tube ends to attach the four landing gear struts as shown in the photo.
Mount the tail assembly to the main mechanics using the provided bolts.
Trial fit and glue the torque tube, ensuring smooth operation and correct alignment with bearings.
Mount the tail rotor servo and connect the pushrod, ensuring smooth function and proper alignment.
Assemble the four wood cabin formers, ensuring they are square and fit correctly within the cabin shell.
Decide on servo placement and adjust the servo tray to meet installation requirements for electronics.
Mount the turbine engine, ensuring correct gear lash between the clutch and spur gear for safe operation.
Cut the rear bottom of the canopy to allow space for lower bell cranks and frame members.
Slide the cabin onto the mounting tubes and ensure proper fit using shims and spacer blocks.
Attach upper standoff bolts, angle brackets, and wood washers to secure the cabin structure.
Fit and secure main cabin windows, carefully drilling holes and installing screws for a proper seal.
Construct the wood floor using provided parts, with an option for a center cut for under-floor access.
Add final details to the rotor head, including soldering cables and attaching decorative dampers.
Install the scale fuel tank, securing supports and ensuring proper positioning for access and stability.
Assemble the air filter molding, attaching the box, grill rim, screen, and mounting bracket.
Install various scale fittings, referencing photos of the full-size Lama for detail and placement.
Paint the model according to specifications and check the main and tail blades for proper balance.
