∙ To avoid any dangers, any repairs at the appliance, e.g. an ex-
change of the cord, must only be done by customer service.
Only use original spare parts.
∙ The appliance becomes hot. Do not move the appliance until it
has cooled down!
∙ Before the first use: clean all parts – except the heating ele-
ments – and leave to dry. To remove the smell of production,
allow the appliance to heat up for about 10 minutes. The de-
vice can smoke slightly in the first few minutes. Then wipe the
plates with a damp cloth.
∙ Attention! Device gets hot. Danger of burns! Only
use the device on an even, stable and a heat resisting
surface and keep a distance of at least 70cm to burn-
able materials.
∙ Steam from the food can emerge between the plates. Danger
of burns!
Cleaning
∙ Unplug the device and leave to cool down.
∙ Do not immerse the device in water, pour water
over it or put it in the dish washer.
∙ For hygienic reasons, the device must be cleaned after every
use.
∙ Clean the waffle plate with paper towel.
∙ Remove the dough remains from the hinge and housing.
∙ Wipe the entire device with a damp cloth.
∙ Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal objects.
∙ For cuts and scratches on the coating, resulting from the use, no
guarantee can be made.
∙ Due to grease vapours may discolour the surface.
Workspace:
Important: Never put the device on or next to a hot surface (e.g. the rings of a
stove). Always put the device on a surface that is level, stable, temperature-resistant
and dry. Keep it away from the edge of work surfaces so that it cannot fall off during
use.
