TRIM POTS
1717
Trim Pots Adjustments While playing your instrument
with the main controls at noon on the dial, turn the
bias until you hear sound. If the bias control is turned
completely in one direction the transistors will not turn
on and NO sound will be produced.
Once you hear sound being produced, slowly turn each
of the 2 trimmer potentiometers until a desirable tone is
achieved. While this is highly subjective, a pleasing fuzz
tone can be had using this listening method.
While there is no “wrong” way to achieve a correct fuzz
sound, in general clipping that is symmetrical will be
smoother while asymmetric clipping will be generate
some interesting and desirable harmonic content.
