The values for the specific electrical resistance and the specific electrical conductivity are
determined at different temperatures in different regions. This must be borne in mind in
any evaluation.

* Pressure loss figures also apply to the minimum flow pressure to DIN 44851/flow rate
for heating from 10 °C to 60 °C (∆ϑ 50 K). A pressure loss of 1 bar is recommended
for pipe network design, in line with DIN 1988, Part 3, Table 4.

Brief description
(for a qualified installer)
The DHE microcomputer-controlled, fully
electronic, instantaneous water heater is a
pressurized unit for heating cold water to
DIN 1988 or for further heating preheated
water up to 55 °C (solar mode).
The DHE’s maximum inlet temperature
must not exceed 60 °C (higher tempera-
tures on the display can damage
the unit).
Measures must be taken to ensure that
the inlet temperature of the DHE
does not exceed 60 °C
(e.g. by using special accessories, see
page 37).
One or more water taps may be supplied
by the unit.
If the selected outlet temperature cannot
be reached, because a fully open tap or
2nd tap requires more flow than the DHE
can heat, given its power rating, the flow
restriction valve - actuated by the micro-
computer - reduces the flow rate so that
the set temperature is always reached.
The specific electrical resistance of the
water must not be lower than
specified on the rating plate e.g.
Table 3!
If you have a combined water system, the
lowest electrical resistance of the water
should be used (see Tables 2 and 3). You
can obtain details of the specific electrical
resistance or the electrical conductivity of
the water from your water supply
company.
