Clean the float module of the condensate pump
This section is not necessary if no condensate pump is connected.
f Check the functionality of the float module every two years. If
necessary, clean the float module.
You can remove the cover of the float module. During assembly,
ensure that the bevelled side of the float magnet faces upwards.
f Push the cover back onto the float module.

CAUTION Injury
After the wedge has been removed, the cross-counter-
current heat exchanger may become detached and fall
down.
f When you remove the wedge, you must also remove
the cross-countercurrent heat exchanger.
f Remove the wedge from between the appliance body and the
cross-countercurrent heat exchanger.
f Carefully remove the heat exchanger from the unit. Do not let
it fall. Avoid damaging the EPS parts in the appliance.
f Use a commercially available vacuum cleaner to remove dust
and other loose dirt particles from the intake and discharge
surfaces.
f If required, clean the heat exchanger with warm water
(max.55 °C) and a commercially available detergent. Do not
use solvents.
f Flush the heat exchanger with water.
Fan
You can clean the fans without disconnecting the cables leading
to the fans. Nevertheless, we recommend removing the control
panel cover. Then you can unplug the control cable and power
cable from the printed circuit board.
f Undo the screws securing the fans.
f Clean the fans with a soft brush.
Preheater
In principle, the preheater does not need to be cleaned. Inade-
quate filter changing can cause dust to build up in the appliance.
In this case, the preheater does need to be cleaned.
Refitting the components
f Push the fan units back into the appliance.
f Reconnect the fan cables.
f Fit the control panel cover.
f Slide the cross-countercurrent heat exchanger back into the
appliance.
f Push the wedge back in again.
f Fit the condensate pan.
Air ducts
Air ducts must be checked at regular intervals and cleaned if nec-
essary. Disconnect the air ducts from the appliance or carry out in-
spection and cleaning through the extract air and supply air vents.
